(9 days leading up to Christmas day)
During this time you will see candlelight processions and the re-enacting Mary & Joseph's search for an inn in Bethlehem; children travel from door to door in traditional costumes singing carols, requesting a place to stay for the night. A party begins when they arrive at the designated house.

International Festival of Migratory Birds
(dates to be determined usually in Jan)
The bird festival in San Blas offers many affordable guided bird watching tours as well as wonderful cultural dances and performances in the plaza.
