San Blas EcoTours Meet Doug and Heather of Diving Beyond Adventures. The first year we arrived in San Blas we were guided by PATO MURILLO, and became great friends with his wife and young kids. We knew we wanted come back and help support sustainable ecotourism in San Blas by actively promoting small-group "off the beaten path" adventures, lead by LOCAL GUIDES.
Since 2001 we have spent our winters watching Pato's children grow up and become partners in his business. Together we have explored dive spots, natural habitats and the culture of the area. In 2006 we created the "San Blas EcoTours" website to help travelers connect with San Blas' best guides and services. Our team believes the best adventure is the next adventure! We encourage travelers to be inventive, and go with the guides who are literally willing to go out on a limb. Diving Beyond is based in Sausalito, CA. We are usually in San Blas for an extended period during the winter-spring months, where we operate and live in San Blas' oldest residential adobe building, built in 1838. We hope to see you there!
